ROBA contitorque
The consistent-torque continuous slip clutch with magnetic hysteresis principle

The ROBA contitorque is a load-holding torque limiting clutch based on the magnetic hysteresis principle. In contrast to the ROBA slip hub, the ROBA contitorque works contactlessly, is wear-free and enables very precise torque limitation - but has a lower performance density. In comparison to permanent magnet clutches, the ROBA contitorque provides a consistent torque in the event of overload (slippage).
The ROBA contitorque is available in an aluminum or a stainless steel version - the latter is also used in the ROBA capping head. Another application of the ROBA contitorque is tension control when unwinding film, yarn, wire, etc.
