The ready-to-install safety brake module ROBA topstop is the easiest way of increasing the safety of vertical axes. The safety brake holds the load even when the motor has been removed. As its flange dimensions are adapted to match the servo motor and gearbox, it can be easily integrated or retrofitted. The design with hollow shaft on both sides and an integrated shaft coupling allows spindle shafts to be directly connected. Additionally, the next generation of ROBA topstop is also optimized for functional safety in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13849-1 and the static brake test. In combination with the ROBA brake-checker and the ROBA gateway, it also opens the door to the world of IoT.

制动器作为独立的模块，可使垂直轴安全停在任何位置，即便在进行机器维护或运输时拆下伺服电机的情况下也可以。此时不需要采取辅助措施来支撑轴，这样既可在更换驱动电机等情况下节省时间和成本，也能在维修时缩短停机时间。在急停或停电等紧急情况下，制动系统能够快速且安全地使负荷进入停止状态。
